Dr Aram Navai is our Specialist in Endodontics with over 10 years’ experience of general practice and complex hospital dentistry. He takes pride in enhancing the lives of his patients and at Chelsea Dental Clinic uses a state of the art microscope and the best materials to carry out root canal treatments.
“Being able to use specialist techniques and cutting-edge technology to relieve patients from pain and allow them to keep teeth they would otherwise lose is such a rewarding process. I am grateful so many dentists continue to refer me complex and challenging cases to resolve for their patients”.
Aram is a caring and highly regarded dentist and is known for his relaxing chairside manner and meticulous attention to detail. He takes enormous pride in his work and considers delivering a comfortable patient experience one of his foremost priorities.
Aram originally qualified from Guy’s and King’s college dental institute in 2009 and was awarded membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011. His previous positions include a year as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in London.
Aram is one of the very few dentists that was awarded a specialist training position in Endodontics at the prestigious Guy’s and King’s College Dental Institute where he successfully completed 4 years of advanced training and passed with distinction. He was also awarded the ‘Membership in Endodontics’ by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, which is recognised as the highest qualification in the field. Aram is now a part-time specialist clinical teacher in Endodontology at Guy’s Hospital where he teaches and supervises future dentists and specialists.
Aram accepts referrals for a range of endodontic procedures including cases with complex anatomy and those which have been previously treated and failed.
A note to referring colleagues;
“I believe endodontics and restorative dentistry are not separate from one another. The best time to place a core restoration is straight after root canal treatment in order to provide an optimal post-operative seal in aseptic conditions. Unless otherwise instructed, I will always place a bonded core before returning your patient to you for the definitive cuspal coverage restoration”.
